Platinum leaf in rolls allows for rapid and accurate gilding on large flat surfaces. Individual leaves are applied by hand onto a roll of tissue paper at a standard length of 20.5 metres with the width varying by leaf dimension. In the gilding phase rolls can be cut to length using ordinary scissors, paying special attention to cutting in proximity to the joints between leaves. On request leaves can be supplied pre-cut in width, from a minimum of 10 mm with the 20.5 metre length remaining fixed.
