Gold leaf

It is available in seven precious metal tones, selected for their resistance to oxidation and their ability to maintain brilliance over time. The range of products for outdoor use also includes sizes and protective coatings, all specifically designed to preserve the gilding over time and protect it from atmospheric agents.
The use of a thicker leaf provides greater brilliance to the gilding and at the same time ensures longer durability over time. The thickness is always expressed in grams per 1,000 leaves. The leaf is packaged in booklets of 25, and subsequently in packs of 10 (250 leaves), 12 (300 leaves), or 20 booklets (500 leaves). Given the type of application, the loose leaf format is the most commonly used. However, for certain processes or sometimes for outdoor use, the transfer leaf format can also be used. In this case, the leaf is placed on a tissue paper backing (transfer), which facilitates handling and speeds up application, while also reducing the risk of loss or dispersion of the product in open and windy environments.
